Tips When Booking Last Minute Hotels In London

London is one of the cities that many of us would like to visit. However, not all will have the chance to experience this glamorous and luxurious city with so much happenings inside, that is why whenever you have the chance to see it, you will grab it even at the last minute.

Visiting London can be one of the best experiences you will have in your life. But this can be more meaningful and memorable, if you book a good hotel that will provide you with utmost convenience and pleasure, which literally translates how a London experience should be. Booking last minute hotels is not easy though. However, it is possible, and you can do this smoothly and hassle free, especially if you have a guide to follow.

Here are the tips that you might want to consider, when booking your hotel in London at the last minute:

  • Ask Your Travel Agency – if you booked your ticket with a travel agency, you can also ask them to book a good hotel that is near the places you need to be in or places that you would like to see. Checking the hotels with your travel agency is actually much better, because you will be given lots of options to choose from, so you can get the best room at the best price. Furthermore, booking your ticket and hotel at the same time will give you the best and most convenient travel, because you do not have to think of anything else, once you reach the city that never sleeps.
  • Check Hostels – London is a preferable destination of many people across the world. Because of this, hotel owners in London realised the demand, and at the same time, realized that not all people can afford luxurious hotels at rates that are extremely high. Hostels became popular to the budget wise traveller who want to experience London. Hostels are able to provide several amenities too, wherein some can really match the same amenities that you can get from a five star hotel in the said city. So if you are looking for last minute hotels in London, you might want to check out hostels instead. As we all know, last minute bookings can be very expensive, especially if you are eyeing the big hotels. Hostels will provide you the same comfort and convenience at a price that you can afford.
  • Check the internet – You can always book last minute hotels online as well. If you do not have time to go to a travel agency anymore, just check them online, for most travel agencies have websites where people are allowed to book tickets and accommodations at the last minute. The nice thing about this is – you can have the luxury of time to check the best deals by yourself, and choose the one that suits your preference and budget.

Antis Hotel,Istanbul

Antis Hotel,Istanbul
We recently visited Istanbul and stayed at the Antis Hotel.
We booked the hotel at the last minute while waiting to board the plane at Birmingham International Airport.
I had done some research a few weeks earlier so i had a rough list of hotels in mind.
We also wanted a hotel very close to the Blue Mosque.

We paid £250 for 4 nights stay which included a free transfer.
Since we booked only a few hours before our arrival we sent a quick email but we didn’t get a response by the time we boarded the plane.
We took a taxi from the Ataturk Airport to the hotel at a cost of 45 TL

Check in was quick
We were given a room a block behind the reception. It is a building adjacent to the main one.Throughout our stay i didn’t see any other guest in that building although i saw many others go to the other side.
The room was adequate not too big but enough.
The bathroom is just a feet from the bed but it did not bother me.The room was new and very clean.
The ceiling shower with its lights was really powerful and hot water always.

We had a view of the building opposite with a restaurant and one the other side of the railway line was a small mosque.

I heard the train a few times it didn’t bother me at all and mosque- Akbiyik Camii was perfect for me whenever i didn’t feel like walking to the blue mosque for prayers.

The breakfast was okay same stuff everyday but at least you know what to expect. For me the scrambled eggs and boiled eggs were perfect.I have stayed at worse hotels that had better selection for breakfast.
i think Antis hotel can improve the choice available at breakfast.

The staff were all friendly always answered my many questions or requests.

We thought the free transfer is available for either return or arrival but its only for arrival.
The lady at reception quickly sorted this out and agreed to provide transfer to the airport at 5.30 am

The night staff had alareday prepared two sandwiches for us and offred tea at 5am.
overall i would highly recommend this hotel unless you want a top luxury hotel then try the f This entry was posted in Antis Hotel, Best Hotel Deals, Istanbul and tagged on by .
